The Best Adventure Travel Destinations

By Eben Page

How would you describe your last vacation? Did you have fun? Were you entertained? Was there some leisure too or did your last vacation consist of shuttling your family around, doing yard work and other chores? Was your last "vacation" more of a "staycation"? Why not try something new this year? Next time you have a few days off, why not test one of the local adventure travels.

Why not do something different this year? When you have a small amount of time off, why not check into some of the adventure travels available near your home. Most likely, there are many adventures to be had in your home state. If you are just dying to spend your money, why not pamper yourself with a true adventure? These are some adventure travels that are quite favorable.

Mountain climbing is a thrilling example of extreme adventure travels. The West Coast Mountain Guides take adventure seekers out on climbing expeditions on a regular basis. You can pick from locations throughout the western Canadian provinces. Adventurers can pick from rock climbing, ice climbing or even snow mountaineering. If you're really looking for a thrill, they will take you on a journey that will include all three.

Before you head out on one of these vacations, however, make sure you are in top physical shape. Mountain climbing expeditions are not meant for lackadaisical and physically unfit individuals! If you like some excitement and adventure, try Shark Diving! The Shark Diver Company has diving packages that allow you to dive with the sharks in California and Mexico.

Most continents have a specialty tours and outfits that will explain how to hunt the game in their neck of the woods. Do you want to hunt big (non endangered) game in Africa? You can accomplish it. Are you into hunting out in the wild west of America? You can even do that. The largest decision you'll have to make for a hunting excursion is picking what you want to go hunting for. After that the hardest thing to figure out is logistics, like: "how can I get all my hunting stuff there or will they have it available?"

e money to travel outside of the US, check out the Hurricane Creek Llama Treks in Oregon. When you take one of these treks you will camp out--you're responsible for bringing your own gear (as well as setting it up and taking it down) as well as for packing and unpacking your llama bags.

Anything is possible, out on the ocean. The kind of deep-sea fish you want to catch will help you determine your vacation spot. However, if you would rather, you can also choose your target location by the climate and "home base" scenery. Hawaii is one revered location for deep-sea fishing.

Are you fed up with being a couch potato and fantasizing about what life could be like on the other side of the world? Have you always wanted to scale a mountain, swim with dolphins or camp out in the great outdoors of Australia or New Zealand? These are all obtainable by you. You can simply make a choice of what type of adventure you want and go out and do it. It's easier than you may realize.
